Contacts and pipeline
The contacts and pipeline module in EveryonePlans holds every person and organization you deal with, the stage each opportunity is at, who owns it, and the full history of what was said — in the same database as the scheduling, work and invoicing that follow from it.
01THE PROBLEM
Why this is worth having
Most small operations know who their customers are and still lose deals, because the knowledge is distributed: the quote is in one person’s sent folder, the follow-up date is in their head, and the reason the last deal stalled left with the person who handled it. Nothing is missing, exactly. It is just not anywhere you can act on.
02HOW IT WORKS
The mechanism
- A contact is a person; an organization is a company; either can be linked to the other, and to any number of jobs, invoices, messages and files. The link is the record — nothing is duplicated to make a connection.
- Pipeline stages are yours to define, not a fixed funnel. A stage change is an event, so automations and reporting see it without anybody remembering to tell them.
- Every message sent through the platform is logged against the contact automatically, so the history is a by-product of doing the work rather than a thing somebody has to maintain.
- Ownership is explicit and permissioned: a salesperson sees their pipeline, a manager sees everybody’s, and a subcontractor sees the job without seeing the margin on it.

What it looks like.

REAL SCREEN CAPTURE, NOT GENERATED. The contacts list and a single contact record open beside it, showing linked jobs, messages and invoices. Real-looking names, recent dates, a stage set to something mid-funnel. Capture at 1600x900 with believable seeded data — real-looking names, dates within the next two weeks, non-round money amounts — and blur anything identifying a real customer.

A lead from your own website, end to end
- Someone fills in the contact form on the site you already own. It posts to the intake endpoint and lands as a contact, not as an email.
- A rule assigns it to whoever is on rotation and sets a follow-up for tomorrow morning.
- The owner quotes the work; the quote is attached to the contact and the stage moves to Quoted.
- The quote is accepted, which creates the job, puts it on the schedule, and moves the stage again.
- Six months later somebody asks what happened with that customer, and the answer is on one screen instead of in three inboxes.
