Messaging and notifications
Messaging in EveryonePlans sends email and SMS under your own brand, logs every message against the customer it concerns, and can hold anything automated in a review queue before it reaches a person.
01THE PROBLEM
Why this is worth having
Automated messaging is the fastest way to damage a customer relationship at scale. One wrong merge field, one reminder that fires for a cancelled job, and the efficiency you gained is spent apologising. Most tools give you the send and not the safety.
02HOW IT WORKS
The mechanism
- Messages are addressed from your domain, with the child brand in the display name and body — which keeps SPF and DKIM aligned against a domain you actually control.
- Everything sent is logged against the contact and the job automatically, so "what did we tell them" has an answer.
- Automated messages can be held as drafts for review rather than sent, per message type — so you can turn automation on cautiously instead of all at once.
- Delivery state comes back into the record, so a bounced address is a fact you can act on rather than a silence you discover later.

Turning on reminders without regretting it
- You enable appointment reminders in review mode. They generate but do not send.
- For a week you read what would have gone out, and fix the two cases that read badly.
- You switch the type to send. The wording is already proven against real jobs.
- A reminder for a cancelled visit never generates, because the rule is attached to the appointment’s state rather than to a date.

About messaging and notifications
Will emails come from my domain or yours?
From yours. The sending address is a domain you control so that SPF, DKIM and DMARC align — a message sent as your brand from somebody else’s domain is the most reliable way to land in spam.
Can I review automated messages before they send?
Yes, per message type. Automation can generate into a review queue rather than send, which is how you turn it on gradually instead of trusting it all at once.
